Learning that I had cancer impacted my life in a major way. I am the mother of 3 children, and I have 1 grandson. I have been separated for about 6 years; I was the head of my family. And in an instant, everything fell apart.

When someone asks how cancer affect your life, I have to answer with, "how does cancer NOT affect your life." For me, the hardest part is that when you have cancer, it isn't just you, but your whole family has cancer with you, alongside you.
