Victoria

"My name is Victoria, and I live and work in Rio Rancho. I’m a single mom to two beautiful children. I took care of my aunt who was diagnosed with breast cancer for 10 years. When I felt a lump in my breast, I knew I had to get it checked out immediately. That's when I began my own breast cancer journey. At 32, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. After a year and a half of treatment and surgery, I’m finally in the clear. PINK "ME" helped me during my time of need, and now I want to pay it forward. I’m excited for this opportunity."

Donavan

"My name is Donavan Price, a Columbus, OH native who relocated to the Land of Enchantment in 2017. While working and living in Los Alamos, NM, I also am a mother to two amazing children.

My desire to be more involved with bringing awareness to breast cancer started with my mother. She came to visit for the holidays in 2019 and had expressed an abscess emerging from her skin. When I had seen it, I knew it wasn't something that would go away on its own. In February 2020, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which had spread throughout her body. While my mother continues her miraculous journey in this battle, it is now part of my journey to support her and anyone else who endures this traumatic disease. I appreciate PINK "ME" for the resources it has offered to my family and am honored for the opportunity to give back within this community!"
